What are Frankincense & Myrrh?
They're both resins - the hardened sap harvested from rare trees. Frankincense is from the Boswellia tree. The resin bleeds out of cuts in the tree's bark and dries into white "tears". Myrrh is from the Cammiphora tree and dries into dark red crystals.
The Gold: 23 Karat Gold, the original gift of Melchior, floating in a hand-blown glass globe
The Frankincense: The highest quality found in Oman and Yemen - the same regions as the original gift brought by Balthasar.
The Myrrh: From Arabia - the source of the finest myrrh and the same region as the gift brought by Caspar.
The Single Box: A rich looking wooden box finished in a dark cherry stain and lined in rich, red satin. The silhouette of the Magi following the Christmas star opens to a satin lined treasure trove holding the gifts of the Three Kings.
The Three Box Set:Each Original Gift is contained in its own antique looking, hand-made wooden box designed to capture the spirit of the gifts carried by the Three Kings.
New Item! The Regal Music Box: Music box of painted resin; looks like hand-tooled leather. Inside, real 23k gold floats in a liquid filled glass globe and is nestled in rich, red satin between real frankincense and myrrh. Electrical music box: light activated with on/off switch (AG10 batteries included). Box plays classical guitar renditions of We Three Kings and Joy To The World.
Included with Each Set are a gold embossed display card that tells the story of the Three Kings and a Certificate of Authenticity stating that the gold is real and the Frankincense & Myrrh are from the same regions as the original gifts.
